    Embark on an extraordinary expedition to some of the world's most remote and awe-inspiring natural wonders, from Ushuaia to Buenos Aires. Your journey begins in Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, where you will set sail for Antarctica. After a warm welcome from our team, you'll have time to explore the picturesque city before boarding the M/V Sea Spirit expedition ship. Crossing the legendary Drake Passage, you'll enjoy your first spectacular wildlife sightings as albatrosses and other seabirds accompany your voyage. Your exploration will lead you to the South Shetland Islands and along the Antarctic Peninsula, where breathtaking landscapes, colossal icebergs, and vast penguin colonies await. In Antarctica, you'll immerse yourself in pristine wilderness, observe whales, seals, and the rich diversity of Antarctic wildlife up close. Next, head to South Georgia, a wildlife paradise. Encounter massive colonies of king penguins and elephant seals, while wandering albatrosses soar majestically above the landscape. Explore historic whaling stations and enjoy stunning views of the subantarctic island. Continuing to the Falkland Islands, you'll visit remote islands and national parks, home to numerous seabirds and penguins. You’ll have the chance to spot Magellanic penguins, sea lions, and even orcas in their natural habitat. Finally, sail across the South Atlantic to Buenos Aires, where your expedition concludes. This journey offers unparalleled nature experiences, unique wildlife encounters, and a deep dive into the history and geology of the Antarctic region. Get ready for an adventure of a lifetime!

    Itinerary

    First day: Arrival at Ushuaia. Overnight in a hotel.

    Second day: Embarkation and start of the expedition.

    Third to penultimate day: On expedition cruise... Ice, weather and wildlife observation will determine the route.

    Last day: Disembarkation at Buenos Aires and return home.

    Please note: The trips and programmes described here are for your orientation only. The final itinerary will be adjusted on site according to weather conditions, the current ice situation and animal sightings. The captain and expedition leader will determine the itinerary depending on the above mentioned factors and will inform you daily about the events. Flexibility and adaptability is of utmost importance on cruises with expedition character.

    Day 1: Ushuaia, Argentina

    Welcome to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world and the starting point of your unforgettable Antarctic expedition! Upon your arrival at the airport, our team will greet you and transfer you to the comfortable hotel included in your package. The rest of the day is yours to explore this charming city at your own pace.

    For an introduction to the local history and wildlife, we recommend visiting the Museo del Fin del Mundo. If you have more time, you can enjoy outdoor activities like hiking in the nearby Tierra del Fuego National Park or wildlife watching in the Beagle Channel. In the evening, Ushuaia offers a variety of restaurants serving local delicacies such as Patagonian lamb and fresh seafood, perfect for a taste of the region's culinary delights.

    Day 2: Embarkation in Ushuaia – The Start of Your Expedition Cruise

    After a relaxing breakfast at your hotel, you have the morning free to explore Ushuaia. Take a stroll along the picturesque waterfront, enjoying stunning views of the snow-capped peaks of the Martial Mountains, which are part of the southernmost Andes range. If you need any last-minute souvenirs or weatherproof gear for your upcoming expedition, you'll find a variety of shops in town. Don’t worry, on board, you'll soon receive a parka to keep, along with waterproof thermo-boots that you can use during the voyage. For lunch, consider visiting one of the many cozy cafés or traditional parrillas on Avenida San Martín.

    In the afternoon, make your way to the pier where the expedition ship M/V Sea Spirit awaits. After a warm welcome on board, you'll be assigned to your spacious suite. The ship will be your floating home over the next few days. As soon as you're aboard, the adventure begins with informative briefings and preparations by our expert crew. In the evening, you can relax and take in the breathtaking scenery as the ship sails along the Beagle Channel.
