The MV Stockholm is a classic ship built in 1953 for the Swedish National Maritime Administration. In 1998 she was completely refitted and started her career as a comfortable Polar passenger ship. The MV Stockholm carries a maximum of 12 passengers in double cabins with bunk beds. All cabins have a private bathroom and small windows (portholes).
MV Stockholm is a beautiful piece of maritime history with beautifully maintained messing details and wooden decks. No wonder she is loved by so many! After 20 years in Svalbard she knows places and passages that are difficult to access and reaches places that are inaccessible to other ships.
On board you will enjoy delicious meals in the company of like-minded travellers, who are all fascinated by the arctic nature, the animal world and the history of Svalbard. The food on board is of high standard and all drinks are included in the price.
With such a small group on board it is like being on a private yacht. The crew on board MV Stockholm is also enthusiastic about the unique wildlife and unspoilt nature. Their genuine curiosity is a prerequisite for expedition cruises of this kind. An expedition on board M/S Stockholm in the northern waters of Spitsbergen with its unique fauna and unspoiled nature is an experience for life! On board MV Stockholm there are two Zodiacs and two guides.
